CAPITOL FORD LINCOLN WINS GREEN AWARD

The New Mexico Association of Energy Engineers (NMAEE) has selected Capitol Ford Lincoln in Santa Fe as its 2017 Small Energy Project of the Year award recipient. The award recognizes Capitol Ford Lincoln’s initiative in Energy Engineering and Efficiency through conversion of all its interior and exterior lighting to LED and energy efficient fixtures.

Thus far the project has saved 152,320 kilowatt hours of electricity, equating to 124,025 pounds of coal burned, and the energy saved equates to 12,756 gallons of gasoline. Finally, in terms of greenhouse emissions it equates to 277,841 miles  driven by an average passenger vehicle or 39.5 tons of waste recycled instead of landfilled.
