1965 - Marc and Ramona Brandt along with a business partner from El Paso, Maury Kemp acquire SANCO FORD and Establish CAPITOL FORD on Guadalupe Street.
1968 - The Brandts become exclusive owners and operators of CAPITOL FORD.
1969 - Capitol Ford gets into the Auto Body Paint and Repair business operating in a new building (now New York Deli) across the street from the main dealership.
1983 - Marc Brandt, Capitol Ford, Ned Wood, Santa Fe Motors (Chevrolet), John Nickeson (Pontiac-Buick-GMC), and Bob Lee (Honda-Subaru-VW-Audi-Porsche) begin the development that is now the SANTA FE AUTO PARK.
1984 - Marc Brandt Jr. joins the family business after finishing school at NMSU.
1985 - CAPITOL FORD moves the Ford dealership and auto body business to its state-of-the-art brand-new home in the Santa Fe Auto Park.
1986 - Joe Bishop, General Manager and minority shareholder in the company dies suddenly of a heart attack. Marc Brandt Jr. takes on the role of General Manager.
1993 - Marc Brandt Sr. passes away, on January 3, 1,993 at the age of 74.
1995 - Capitol Ford completes a remodel of the Auto Park facility. The Showroom and Body Shop are both expanded and refreshed and the Service Department gets 5000 square feet of new additional workspace on-premises.
1996 - Michael Brandt, 31 at the time, NMSU graduate (Industrial Engineering) joins the family business. Michael leaves a job with the Ford Motor Company to come work for Capitol.
1999 - Capitol Ford begins the development of what will become its new Body Shop operation (CF Collision) on the West I25 Frontage Road.
2000 - CF Collision Auto Body Paint and Repair shop is launched in its new 17,000-square-foot state-of-the-art facility. Quick Lane Tire and Auto Service Center is open for business in a free-standing building at the Auto Park.
2005 - Quick Lane 2 Tire and Auto Service Center opens for business on West Alameda Street.
2007 - Capitol Ford and Don Chalmers forge a business partnership agreement and Don Chalmers becomes the primary operator of the new "Chalmers Capitol Ford Lincoln" business entity.
2008 - Zachary Brandt joins the family business after completing school at UNM.
2012 - The primary dealership completes a remodel and freshening. Kerry West joins the company in a senior management position.
2014 - After a long and courageous fight against cancer, Don Chalmers passes away.
2015 - The Ford Motor Company recognizes "Capitol Ford Lincoln " as the Santa Fe dealership under the control of the Brandt family.
2015 - October 22, 4:30pm. Capitol Ford Lincoln LLC, the staff and the Brandt family are recognized by officials of the Ford Motor Company for its 50-year Company/Dealer relationship as well as being the Santa Fe dealer.
2020 - March 25th, Capitol Ford complies with the Governor's Shelter Place Order dated March 23, 2020.
2021 - May 13th, Capitol Ford announces new Mobile Service - Service To You. Many regular maintenance and repairs made at the location of the client through a schedule appointment.
2022 - October 18, The nomination of Marc Brandt, dealer principal at Capitol Ford Lincoln in Santa Fe, New Mexico, for the 2023 TIME Dealer of the Year award was announced today by TIME.
